Sinner avoided going a double break of serve down as Djokovic surprisingly failed to make a passing shot and Sinner then had points to break back in the sixth game but could not convert either of them.

The talk of the draw though was an incident with Collin Johns in the round of 32. After Collin and his partner Allyce Jones (back after a break from touring) won game one, Johns stepped awkwardly on a passing shot and fell to the ground.
